Sailing Trips on board the ‘Victor’ – IMT Barge Trips
September 10 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm£65
This trip is a great chance to get the best views of the rivers Orwell, Stour and the Walton backwaters. While on board you will also get the chance to help sail the iconic barge.
‘Victor’ was built in 1895 by Shrubsalls at Ipswich for Owen Parry of Colchester and was mainly used in the linseed oil trade. In 1947 ”Victor’ was the last sailing barge to be decommissioned and subsequently converted to a motor barge.
The ‘Victor’ will leave from in front of the Old Customs House at 09:00am and return at about 17:00pm depending on the weather and tide. This will include a bacon roll and coffee breakfast, mid morning coffee and biscuits, a two course lunch with wine followed by an afternoon cream tea.
