Shipwrecked! The discovery of the Gloucester

March 6 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

£5.00

In 1682 the Gloucester sank off Great Yarmouth. Now, 342 years later, Julian Barnwell, one of the divers who found the ship and retrieved many of the items on display in Norwich Castle Museum, will be talking about the discovery; and Professor Claire Jowitt, co-curator of the exhibition, will put into context for us the significance of this royal wreck.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to dive a wreck, or what happens to the artefacts brought to the surface after centuries on the seabed, here’s your opportunity to ask the experts!
